Anna
I would like to offer the users of an application to define their own body-texts for sending e-mails. Unfortunately, formatting is not applied by the SENDEMAIL function. I also had no success with CHAR(10). How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance! HaPe
Hi Anna, you can use html markup as formatted text in the body. Like in this example: This will send then a body in this format: -hp
Anna
Thanks HaPe. Unfortunately, expecting the users to use html markup is not ideal. It would be good if users could enter their text in a text widget and it would be used as the body in the mail ( with formatting).
HaPe
Sure, if the formatting has to be done by the end user, thats not an option. We have already a function HTMLTOJSONTEXT, to convert HTML text into formatted text for a text widget. In your use case, the reverse function JSONTEXTTOHTML would be required. This function would convert the formatted content of a text widget to a html markup formatted text. This is not available yet, but on our roadmap. If this is an important use case for you, we could rank it higher, so that it would be available after one of the next sprints. -hp
Anna
Thanks, good to know it's on the roadmap. It's not that important, I can wait a while for the new function.
